Thirty eight new homes are rapidly taking shape at Longmoor Lane in Sandiacre, mid-way between Nottingham and Derby, thanks to a joint £10m project between Futures and Cameron Homes. Construction got underway in early 2024 and the project has benefitted from almost £3m of Homes England funding.

The development, which has great transport links as well easy access to local facilities including schools, shops and medical services, will provide a mixture of shared ownership and social rent homes. Also on the site is an area of protected woodland that Futures will safeguard as part of its ongoing commitment to investing in the environment and green spaces around our customers’ homes. To further the project's environmental credentials, all homes are being fitted with solar panels

Homes at the scheme – all featuring two, three or four bedrooms, ample parking and private rear gardens - will be suitable for first time buyers, couples and small families. The project also includes a number of single-level homes for older people. The first homes are expected to be available from September 2024 and the entire scheme should be completed by early 2025.
