One colleague’s spark of inspiration when filling up his vehicle this year thankfully didn’t result in an explosion but instead resulted in some tasty treats landing on dinner tables.

As a local resident and a team member who sees customers at home every day, Plumbing Engineer Scott Bacon was well aware of the challenges faced by many people as a result of the soaring cost of living. So naturally, as a Futures-kind-of-person, Scott started thinking about new ways of helping out

Scott realised that he and many of his colleagues refilled their work vans at a local Sainsburys supermarket – and that we were missing out on an awful lot of Nectar points. Jumping quickly into action he applied for a company Nectar account and got other team members to swipe when they filled up.

Fast forward a few months and the team were able to go wild in the aisles and fill a trolley with over £100-worth of free food to donate to Hope for Belper, a local foodbank. And the project hasn’t stood still either as points are once more totting up again. So not long before Scott and colleagues get to go on another trolley dash to help again.
